Great Price by howard38 Pros: Low price, good looking
Cons: Good, not great picture quality I bought this model a few months ago for about $500 and change and thought it was a great deal. Now it's an even better deal as I have seen it for $100 less.

This Vizio is for people like myself who want a good quality picture but don't mind if it's not the best. High end HDTVs do have a sharper screen image but not enough to make me pay two or three times as much. |

Wouldn't buy another by texmw Pros: Beautiful picture, neat cabinet.
Cons: It shuts off, don't know why. Purchased this set Christmas '06 after comparing to Sony and Mitsubishi. The picture seemed better and at that time had better reviews. For first 16 months was very pleased, then it started shutting off, for no apparent reason. I was warned by the vendor (Circuit City) that lamp would burn out within 2 years, but lamp seems to be fine. It seems to be a problem that comes and goes. Sometimes we will go weeks without the problem, then it happens 2 or 3 times in 5 minutes. Very frustrating.

With the price of LCD and Plasma sets dropping, and their improved performance in attaining deep blacks in their colors, I think they are probably better choices now. |

Had about enoug6h of Philips by brian-kate Pros: price, picture
Cons: lasting time. We bought this tv from Philips website. It was refurbished by Philips. We had a 90 warranty. This was our first venture into HD. We loved the tv at first. After about 6 months we started having problems. We keep getting an odd noise from the tv and the left side of the screen gets very red tinted while the right side gets very green. This is the second Philips electronic we've had problems with. We also had a Philips DVD player that went out in 6 months. I don't think we'll be buying Philips again. All of their products seem to make it just past the warranty then they start having problems.

pretty pleased with tv by blafleche Pros: Cheap price easy use picture is ok
Cons: lack of setup information and troubleshooting info I am happy with the tv. It has a good look for a low priced item. It is easy to use for children. The vga connection took a little investigation to figure out the settings on the computer to match so that I coud get passed the "no signal" screen. The settings are 60 mhz and any number below the pixels listed. I did not have the exact pixels so I went one setting under. It does lack in information in the manual and on the menu screen.

Great TV! by pscg Pros: Great look, great sound, great picture - bright and clear, dvd controls and performs well
Cons: loud dvd noise when tv is turned on We bought this tv for our business for use in trade shows. But we loved it so much, we put it in our bedroom. We have used it daily for nearly a year now and the picture and sound are terrific. My husband was concerned because he had read reviews warning of dead pixels, but no problems yet.

Refurbised - Be aware if needing warranty repair by cummingsr Pros: Not much. I hardly had a chance to use it.
Cons: Picture is "washed out" compared with other LCD TVs I've seen. Westinghouse warranty policy. I bought this unit refurbished at Buy.com. It failed after 1 week. The screen became garbled when I was setting up the channels, and it stopped responding to the buttons on the remote and on the set itself. I had to unplug it. When I tried to power it on again, the power light came on but no picture was displayed. I called Westinghouse for support, and was told that I needed to return the unit at my own expense! I e-mailed Buy.com to see if I could at lease get reimbursed for the shipping charges, but they always quoted there return policy on the TV, no matter what I said in the e-mail. It's almost as if it was a "canned" response and they never read my e-mail. When I bought a home theater system from Amazon.com and it was defective, they paid for the return shipping charges.
