Amazing! Don't know what people do to get bad service.

Pros: Professional, quick, courteous.
Cons: The only gripe I can have is that USAA didn't hand deliver my settlement check.
The Bottom Line: If you have access to USAA and are not using their products and services, you are foregoing one of the best benefits of military service.

I've had USAA insurance for over two years. The Thursday before Thanksgiving, I was involved in an accident that totaled my car. Within two hours of the accident, USAA had a rental car waiting for me to pick up and had already moved my car to their authorized repair shop. Within three business days, I received a call from the total loss department giving me my settlement amount.
Based on some of the reviews I've read on here, I prepared myself for a fight. That fight never materialized! I had a firm price that my research showed my car was worth. I was not going to settle for less, and I didn't! USAA offered me $300 more than what I found my car to be worth before I could get one word out. They deposited the funds into my USAA account in 10 hours from the time I dropped off my title to the salvage yard.
The whole process took USAA three working days...this, immediately prior to a major holiday weekend! I did not place one call into USAA beside the initial call to file a claim.
I honestly don't know what the people who complain about USAA do to get bad service. This is the second major issue I've had to depend on USAA for and both times they have more than earned my business.
To show that I haven't completely drank the kool-aide, I do shop around for insurance. I've yet to find USAA's quotes unreasonable. I have found one or two companies offering a slightly lower quote but for me, the proof is in the pudding. I now know that I can rely on USAA. Untill they show me otherwise, I will not seriously consider another insurance company.
